Does your fuse box comply with the ever changing safety regulations?

Do I need to replace my fuseboard?

In the early 1980's consumer units began replacing the old fuseboards in favour for better circuit protection using MCBs and RCDs. Since 1981 (when the 15th edition wiring regulations was introduced) there has been a substantial increase of electrical improvements resulting in several additions and amendments to the UK wiring regulations.

However there are many fuseboards still in service today and concerns arise over the safety of the property when the electrics are not checked or upgraded to modern standards.

The key to safety is improvement - Are you relying on out-dated technology to keep you safe?
